Paris, je t'aime! <3 (DAY TWO!)
Jul. 21st, 2010 02:24 pmO.o; I really am horrible at posting pictures, aren't I? I suppose I'm not too awful when it comes to uploading pictures of meet-ups... b-but when it comes to my trips I am super slow! *facepalm!*
I posted the first part of my Paris Adventure back in March!
I think it's about time for the sequel? I have absolutely no excuse for the lateness of these pictures - I actually uploaded them months ago. I FAIL. Unfortunately back then I didn't have a pro!Flickr account yet, so these are uploaded to my LiveJournal Scrapbook. Bah.
Our second day in Paris was really rainy! O.o; It wasn't too cold, though... I think we got really lucky.

Don't believe me? HAVE AN UMBRELLA! xD!

Unfortunately we only took one umbrella with us that day so we had to share! *FACEPALM!* There was this beautiful umbrella at the BTSSB shop... I kind of wanted to go back for it when I noticed how rainy it was that day. B-but, it was one of those non-fold-able-umbrellas and I didn't feel like carrying it around all day like a walking stick. REGRET.

One more stupid: I spent an hour curling my hair that morning! Damn rain! xDD!

Despite the gray sky Paris is still really something. :)

Obligatory picture with a rotating Alice in Wonderland promo-poster! :D (The other side had Johnny on it!)

There's gotta be an easier way to get to the Notre-Dame, b-but... ^^;

Yet another bridge in Paris. *grin!*

Finally we reached the back of the Notre-Dame! I kind of doubt we took the usual tourist route to get there... O.o;

Looking appropriately depressing and dreary for March. :')

You've noooo idea how long it took to take all of these pictures. O.o; I kept having to wait because A) PEOPLE KEPT RANDOMLY WALKING ALL OVER THE PLACE, B) PEOPLE KEPT ASKING FOR MY PICTURE and C) IT'S NOT EASY TAKING PICTURES AND HOLDING AN UMBRELLA AT THE SAME TIME.

I very cleverly cropped out a bunch of tourist heads for optimal creepiness. :D

O.o; It really was a very gray and dreary day, jeez.

My desperate attempt at getting the entire Notre-Dame into one picture! xD!

Going inside!

The interior is a lot less creepy looking! :)

Too bad it was hard to get a good picture of the beautiful decorations without using flash. =/ I think using flash inside a church is a little disrespectful so even though a lot of tourists were doing it I made sure to keep my flash turned off. (I don't mind OTHER people doing it! I just... I don't know? It's not like God's angels will strike you down for wanting to get a good picture! XD! STILL!)

Beautiful stained glass windows everywhere!

We burned a candle for my grandmother and grandfather. My mother is now a Buddhist and I am not particularly religious, b-but it was a nice gesture. More of a tradition than anything else, I suppose. :)

Obligatory picture in front of the Notre-Dame! *smirk!* Complete with obligatory petticoat-peaking! ;)

I FINALLY GOT THE ENTIRE THING IN ONE FRAME YAY.

The Eiffel Tower! xD! I can't help but be reminded of Kuroshitsuji when I look at this picture... it's so easy to imagine Ciel and The Queen moving up in the elevators, haha. CREEPY. That evil winged monkey is a little harder to imagine, however.

Pretending to be a lady! ;)

Close-up! O.o; I usually don't like close-ups of my face, b-but I suppose this one's not too horrible.

WITH MY MOTHER. BECAUSE SHE WAS THERE, TOO. HAHA. (How come my hair is being obedient, yet her fringe is flying ALL OVER THE PLACE? Freaky, I tell you!)

After visiting the Notre-Dame and the Eiffel tower we decided to have lunch at Lafayette. Because, you know, Harrods is in London. Unfortunately.

This is
little_ribbon wondering if it is really such a great idea to eat the world's most expensive cupcake. O.o; There is one more picture here in which my mother says I have an evil!Wednesday (Adam's Family) face. LOL.

Lafayette's ceiling is really beautiful. X______x

My apologies for the dark picture! I really tried... ^^;

After lunch I realized we'd basically visited all the places I had planned for us to go to already. O.o; We decided to take the Métro to Les Quatre Temps and visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop there.
In the end I didn't buy anything there, though... b-but I spotted Toys R Us in the distance! AAAAAAH! AND SUSHI! MORE AAAAAHH!

Even though we weren't hungry we couldn't pass up the opportunity to eat sushi! It was ROLLING SUSHI! *giggles!* My mother went all "OH! IT'S JUST LIKE IN SINGAPORE!" and so obviously we couldn't just walk away, right?!

Mmmmmm~! ♥!

HAPPY LIN. HEE.

+ HAPPY MOM! <333!

This is what I bought at Toys R Us! It's not available in Belgium so it made me EVEN MORE HAPPYYY than the sushi! *grin!*

Pretty flowers! :) That's the last picture, hehe.
There's A LOT of pictures I didn't post due to... well, there's just too many! xD! B-but, if you're interested you're always welcome to look at the Paris Adventure LJ Gallery! There are more pictures there! :)

Date: 2010-07-21 01:15 pm (UTC)I've only just returned from Paris, so this reminds me that maybe I should put some pictures on my LJ too? But mine aren't as pretty as yours ^^
Well, maybe I'll go back to edit my 'Paris report' post and put in some pics ...

Date: 2010-07-21 02:01 pm (UTC)I'm sure yours are much better, silly. You were there at the beginning of the month, right? That means yours won't look so creepy and graveyard-y! *laughs!*

Date: 2010-07-22 01:41 pm (UTC)Funny you should say that though, 'cause I did take some very nice pictures at a graveyard xDD
(but seriously, you're right, there sure was plenty of sun ...)
Well, but I never look fancy like you do, especially not in pictures, err ...

Date: 2010-07-21 06:34 pm (UTC)Those sushi bowls remind me of the ones in Yo!Sushi :)
I love long lenght umbrellas, they're actually less bothersome to carry than the foldable ones I think :)
Or maybe I'm just used to carrying them by now :)
We still need to go to Paris for a day!
Visit Centre Pompidou or Palaid de Tokyo and then the Baby and Angelic Pretty shops!
