Japanese Garden in Hasselt (PART ONE!)
Jul. 21st, 2008 08:21 pmGo, go, Belgium! ^^;;
It's our National Holiday today. Obviously this means RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN. T_______T
The weather has been exceptionally pathetic this last week - it almost feels like we skipped a couple of months and went straight to November. O.o; It's that cold and rainy.
Despite the awful weather, my mother and I visited the Japanese Garden in Hasselt this afternoon. ^^;

Spot the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga? *laughs!* This is the entrance to the garden, where you can buy tickets (I think they were sold at €5 per person?), fish food (€0,80!) and little souvenirs.
Now I got that out of my system... *grin!* First up are a couple of pictures of
little_ribbon trying out a new outfit. X.x I'm keeping this entry public, so there won't be any pictures of my mother this time.

This is me next to the Ceremonial House! The inside was really awesome... I was surprised to find out the tatami mats still smell so fresh - almost like they're brand new? I love that smell! It reminds a bit me of the ocean... and also picnics. *grin!*

I'm not really sure if I like this outfit. O.o; I was hoping some of the Lolita items I got on
egl_comm_sales would've arrived by now... but the weekend and the public holiday made sure that didn't happen. *pouts!* Instead, I went for a really weird mix of H&M and Harajuku? X.x;
That headband really doesn't suit me. I put it back in my bag after only a couple of minutes in the garden. *headdesk!* The entire outfit is kind of based on the bolero, in case you were wondering. I didn't know if it was going to be cold the entire day, so I wanted to work it into my outfit to make sure I wouldn't melt if the weather turned surprisingly hot all of the sudden (or freeze to death if it didn't).

B-but, it did get rather cold after 2pm. O.o; Jeez. I can't believe I'm wearing a winter coat in the middle of July.
I also can't decide if I need a haircut or not. I'd like to grow it out after Soumyny cut half of it off (with my permission), but the bangs look incredibly messy right now.
`
The koi are really VICIOUS! *laughs!* They completely splashed me when I was trying to feed them. >.>
That's part one! xD I'll post the second part tomorrow... I'm too tired (and cold!) to upload the latch batch of pictures. They're all scenic views of the garden I took, but most of them didn't turn out too well because the weather was awful. There's too much lighting due to that ugly grey sky. >.>

Date: 2008-07-22 05:22 pm (UTC)Just bring sneakers and a good pair of socks or stockings - or buy them here! xD That way you can just put them on when it's too cold.
Besides, I got goosebumps from all that airconditioning in Singapore! If you can stand to spend an hour inside one of your malls, I think you'll live. ^^;;;

How does the 28-29th of Sept sound to you? Is that too rushed after getting back from Singapore?

Date: 2008-07-22 05:23 pm (UTC)The only annoying thing about them is that they're too big. O.o; I have to wear very thick socks in them for it to be comfortable (and I think my feet would DIE in Singapore?)

En zoals steeds, leuke foto's!
