I'm posting this again and allowing comments this time! Indecisiveness is apparently something very Belgian, huh? xD
I saw this on
boolafaz's LJ yesterday...

For those who don't know what's going on: BELGIUM OH NOES!! xD We haven't had a government for over 100 days now. There isn't a solution in sight yet, either... *headdesk!*
I'm Flemish. ^^;; I do support splitting up our silly little country if we can't sort this out soon. My main problem is the fact that
boolafaz and I are both Belgian, yet she's the ONLY Walloon I know. O.o We just don't talk to each other anymore - it's like Belgium is already split up in that respect. Language is a huge barrier, too.
boolafaz and I speak English to each other online, but would that work in a real life situation? I don't think so. =/
I love Belgium the way it is and I don't exactly want to change anything about it, but if we can't solve this... what kind of country are we then? O.o There's going to be nothing left to unite us anymore if we keep doing things the way we have been. I know most Belgians think things will sort themselves out if we just leave it alone long enough, but it hasn't worked yet and I doubt it'll start working now. I don't want to be part of a country that's divided. I'd rather be part of a smaller but united country. ^^;;
I'm not posting this to start a political debate! *laughs!* I just wanted to give
smaugs_mommy and
boolafaz a place to talk about this... seeing as we all disabled comments on our previous entries about this. O.o
ANYWAY! Enough of politics! xD I AM ANNOUNCING THE WINNER OF THE GUESSING GAME!
*DRUMROLLS!* The winner is...
sooziemonkey! CONGRATULATIONS! There were two other people who guessed correctly (
sarahcoldheart and
dissonantly!) but you guys were too late! Better luck next time? ^^;;
The prize will be kept secret for now! ;) I will need your address, though: e-mail me at little_ribbon@hotmail.com! :)
OMG! You guys are all going to KILL me! xD They were just potato chips... I found them at the supermarket and I was so amused by them that I wanted to post about them on LJ. *SHOT!*
O.o I am so surprised at some of the answers you all came up with! My favourites were
iyo_chan's "an ash tray without the ashes",
horrificwhisper's yellow garden gnomes in disguise and
chyama's DELICIOUS! I can't believe no one tried microwave french fries, too! xD
It must have seemed like a trick question... but honestly, I wasn't expecting so many people to participate! *dies!*

Date: 2007-09-20 01:00 pm (UTC)And I'll second the thought of rather being part of a small but united country than part of a country that's divided from within.
Btw, I'm Walloon , too. Most people in our region speak Flemish rather than French, but French is still the official language, and I don't even speak Walloon (French, though) and still we're part of the Walloon Region. odd, odd, odd.
On Monday, I will start a university course in Scotland. And I wonder if there will be a Belgium to return to, once I'm done there...

Date: 2007-09-20 02:24 pm (UTC)Hmm... The regions are really messed up, huh? =/ Nobody even seems to be aware of the German region! *g!* I wonder how they feel about all of this...
I keep thinking the same thing! I want to move to Singapore, but I wonder what will happen to Belgium while I'm there. O.o
